Ruffly flower belts are mainly inspired by wedding themes but they are very popular, especially during autumn and winter. A flower belt can add beauty and charm to your plain and simple outfit. But why go and spend money on flower belts when you can easily make one, or many, at the comfort of your house without spending a penny.
What you will need: silk tulle, ribbons, scissors, sewing needles. You can choose any color you like, but considering the winter ahead I would strongly recommend you choose grey, brown or black. I absolutely love the grey one below. Start by cutting squares, fold then twice and round the corners by giving the shape of a flower. Look at the forth picture to how they looked unfold so you know how to cut them best.
Sew the center of each flower and continue repeating this until the flower has gotten the final shape and looks something like the picture number eight. You can add more ruffles or leave it simple;depends on how you like it. You can wear these beautiful ruffle flower belts over a dress, shirt or whatever you like. Very feminine and stylish both for daily wear or evenings. Enjoy the picture tutorial and try it on, you will be very happy with the result!
