Make your own shoe bench from a fruit crate

The shoes can make a big mess in your hallway , if you didn’t manage to find an appropriate shoe storage. An appropriate shoe bench will help you on your way to keep your hallway organized and neat.  Anyway, if you like thinking out of the box, and you want to try new and creative things, then we have a good idea for you. Why don’t you make your own shoe bench from a simple fruit crate. It will be easy to make, much cheaper than a regular shoe bench, and most of all you will have a lot of fun creating your own piece of furniture. The best thing above all is  that you will be very proud of yourself by creating something out of  basically nothing. But let’s begin from a scratch

The needed supplies:

-Fruit Crate

- Paint Spray

- Cotton Foam

-Material

-Stapler

-Wheels (Optional)

-Wooden Panel

1. Clean the Fruit Crate

Clean the fruit crate from the possible fruit stains and other stains. The fruit crate ought to be clean before you are going to spray paint on it.

2. Paint the fruit crate with a paint spray

Paint the fruit crate with a spray paint in any color you like. In this example the paint bluish purple.

3.Place the cotton foam on the panel

Pick the wooden panel which is in the same size as the fruit crate and on its surface place the cotton foam , which later will be covered with a material.

4. Attach the material to the panel and staple it

Place the material on the cotton and with  a staple attach the same on the wooden panel, which later should be attached on the fruit crate.

5. In the middle of the fruit crate place another wooden panel

Inside of the fruit crate place another wooden panel which is previously painted in the same color as the fruit crate and attach the panel in the middle of the crate in order to make a two sections.

6.Enjoy in your new shoe bench

Proudly expose your new fancy shoe bench in the hallway. You can choose a paint and material by your own taste.
